- Boy, am I ticked!
-
- I just wanted to tell you people about my current experience with UPS,
- hopefully it will help you avoid the same problems.
-
- I'm in Canada (Newfoundland to be exact) and I recently made a deal with
- someone in the States - my EMPLANT Deluxe for his GVP IV-24. Anyway,
- before he read my message to him *not* to send it by UPS, he sent it by
- UPS. Well, it came today and since I wasn't home it is now sitting at a
- local courier's office for pickup. The charge...$68.35 Canadian. The
- guy who sent it to me already paid about $33 USD to ship it to me, and he
- didn't know I would have to pay anything on my end (until I told him). I
- called UPS about the charge, and they told me $33.63 is GST (kinda
- understandable, but I still don't like it) and the other $34.72 is
- Brokerage/Customs fee. What is it that they do to earn this $34.72? Can
- anyone tell me? What the heck is FREE TRADE?
-
- Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?
-
- I *never* want anything shipped to me by UPS again. Regular mail or air
- mail suits me fine, thank you. Hasn't failed me yet.
-
- Thanks for reading.
